Web to Print Alleviates An Administrative Nightmare

Challenge
For many years we worked with a senior health plan and medical services company to print, assemble, inventory and ship a number of different materials to several sales offices throughout the Southwest. With each state and county having different regulations, all materials required many different versions. The company’s internal staff was overwhelmed with the volume of materials and sent email requests to us daily to place orders and track and inquire about order status. Everyone involved was spending too much time managing the printing and fulfillment process.
Solution
We developed an easy-to-use online catalog for the company’s marketing and sales network, which saved them valuable time in processing orders. The new online Web to Print solution helped them better monitor and manage orders placed by outside sales reps and independent agents. In addition to printing and fulfilling all of the items in the entire catalog, we helped design several publications with over 35 different variables, based on product brand, specific health plan and geographic region of distribution.
Results
With Web to Print, our client now has control of their brand, and is able to get materials to their end users without delays. The master buyer feature assists the marketing department in controlling the items and quantities being ordered, which has helped reduce costs and waste. Instead of constant email and telephone requests regarding new and pending orders, orders are processed when received and confirmations are sent automatically to the person ordering and to the master buyer, who can track the shipment in real time, as well as have a current order history as a reference.
