This directory was launched by Conan Owen, manager of Sir Speedy Charlottesville, whose family roots trace back to Honduras. As the son of immigrants and a proud member of the Latinx community, Conan grew up witnessing the hard work, creativity, and resilience of Latin American business owners, many of whom struggled to gain visibility in the broader marketplace.
Inspired by their stories and driven by a desire to give back, Conan created the Charlottesville Latinx Business Directory to uplift local entrepreneurs, connect them with new customers, and celebrate the contributions of Latin American businesses in the region.
