New Business Account Executive 

Position Overview :

This is a B2B new business development role, also known as Outside Sales Representative, or Account Manager or even B2B Sales. Whatever the title, the goals are the same: make money, make a difference, make creative solutions for your clients.

As a New Business Account Executive your primary responsibilities will be to establish and maintain profitable relationships with customers, actively prospect for new accounts, and maximize sales potential with existing clients. You will professionally represent the company by conveying expertise in our services and capabilities, while cultivating relationships within the business community.


Our top candidate is outgoing, focused, and motivated with previous sales experience and strong closing skills. Experience in the printing and sign industry is a plus. Established relationships with local business are an asset. We are looking for an individual with a positive attitude (did we say that already?), a confident and outgoing personality, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong customer-focused approach. Candidates must be able to travel to client sites using their own transportation. A valid driver's license is required.



  • Prospects for new customers, develops new business, targets key leads, and retains business
  • Presents company products and services in a way that conveys integrity and superior understanding of customer needs
  • Understands and complies with the sales systems in place
  • Develops annual sales strategy in conjunction with management and identifies joint marketing opportunities where applicable
  • Communicates effectively with co-workers, updating them regularly to guarantee that customer objectives are met
  • Develops rapport with prospects and builds relationships with customers
  • Sends thank you notes and/or letters to prospects/customers each day
  • Follows up on all outstanding quotes for assigned customers and prospects within 24 hours
  • Maintains current customer accounts as assigned by offering printing/copying services, quote follow-ups and customer satisfaction solutions
  • Views at least one training video or listens to one tape series per month, as determined by manager
  • Attends regional/national training seminars
  • Attends daily sales/production meetings and keeps manager aware of special order deadlines and finishing requirements
  • Provides timely and accurate reports on all sales activities 
  • Gathers information on decision-makers and adds that information to the database
  • Enters relevant data on each prospect/customer contact into the contact management program
  • Stays current with new technology and marketing programs
  • Meets or exceeds performance goals set by manager
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with coworkers
  • Performs other duties as assigned



  • Previous sales experience
  • Strong communication and math skills
  • Strong sales aptitude
  • Able to identify and exceed customer needs and requirements
  • Print sign or print industry experience preferred
  • Must have initiative and be able to problem solve
  • Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be willing and able to work both indoors and out, including driving to meet with customers and prospects in their work environments
  • Must be able to spend several hours per day operating a motor vehicle
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
